Project 2008: Maintenance of the municipal boundary
To enable regular boundary walks along our municipal border, it is necessary to keep the border accessible. This means occasionally trimming hedges and, if necessary, securing and cleaning loose stones. The winter months are usually the best time for this work. The approximately 16 km long border can, of course, only be maintained in stages. A hiking trail has been established along some sections of the border, and continuous walks ensure that the border remains open. Based on old documents, boundary walk records, and maps, as well as the documentation and inventory of the boundary stones and ditches still in existence, the development and individual phases of the demarcation of our border can be traced quite well.
