Press release - The 2024 local news is now available.

After extensive work over the past few months, we are pleased to present our new local history magazine.

The articles in this issue focus on key themes and feature many interesting contributions from Seelbach's history over the past 1400 years. Two of several other key topics are the Frankish grave find at Hardt and the hamlet of Staudt (Füllscheuer) between Herborn and Seelbach, as well as Seelbach land ownership in Alsbach. The report on Seelbach minerals is particularly interesting; their discovery made the village famous throughout Europe 150 years ago. Numerous anecdotes recount village life in centuries past and recall many events in Seelbach.

The booklet costs €12 and can be obtained immediately from Eckhard Görzel and the Aartal Pharmacy in Herbornseelbach.

Furthermore, we offer the opportunity to purchase the local news in the “Old School” on Saturday, November 30th from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm and on Sunday, December 1st from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm.
