Hiking around Herbornseelbach – experience nature, discover your home

The Herbornseelbach Business Association (HGV Herbornseelbach), together with the Herbornseelbach Sports Club (TV Herbornseelbach), regularly organizes hikes through our local area. These tours traditionally take place in spring and autumn and offer a wonderful opportunity to experience the landscape around Herbornseelbach from new perspectives.

On our journeys we encounter quiet forest paths, historical sites, wide views and again and again little stories from the past of our village.

In addition to experiencing nature, the focus is also on community: We hike at a leisurely pace, take time for breaks and welcome everyone who wants to join us.

Border walks around Herbornseelbach – history along the way

For many years, the Herbornseelbach Local History Society (HGV Herbornseelbach) has been conducting guided walks along the historical boundary lines. These hikes offer a unique opportunity to experience the landscape around our village from a historical perspective.

Along the paths, we encounter old boundary stones, traditional field names, striking landmarks, and stories that tell of bygone eras. These boundary walks connect local history, nature, and community – and invite us to keep the roots of our town alive. Whether you're interested in history or simply enjoy being outdoors, everyone is welcome to join us.

Old recipes – Culinary heritage from Herbornseelbach

Under the motto "Old Recipes," the Herbornseelbach Business Association (HGV Herbornseelbach) is dedicated to the culinary traditions of our village. Many of these dishes have been passed down through generations, often written down by hand, sometimes only orally. They tell stories of families, celebrations, harvest times, and everyday life in bygone years. With this project, we want to keep these memories alive.

  • typical dishes from the region
  • traditional baked goods
  • simple yet special everyday recipes
  • short anecdotes about cooking and baking

Everyone who would like to share an old family recipe is warmly invited to participate. Together we preserve a piece of local history – for cooking, reading, and enjoying.
